Fenropay (“we,” “us”) helps SaaS founders recover failed payments and understand churn. This page explains what we collect, why, and where it goes — in plain terms, matching what the product actually does.
Two different people show up in our systems, and we treat them differently:
From founders: your email (via Clerk, our sign-in provider), business name, logo, and the Stripe restricted API key you paste in — encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and never logged in plaintext. If you opt in to automatic discount application, a second, separately-scoped key, encrypted the same way.
From your Stripe account (read-only): failed invoices, cancellations, subscription and customer data (email, name, amount, decline reason) — only what’s needed to run dunning emails, track recovery, and show your dashboard. We cannot see your Stripe balance, move money, issue refunds, or edit a subscription unless you’ve separately added the optional discount-application key, and even then only to create a coupon and attach it — nothing else.
From your customers, indirectly: exit-survey answers (a cancellation reason, and optional free text) and, if Fenropay AI is enabled, the full transcript of any save-negotiation conversation. Both are tied to the subscription/customer they came from so you can see them in your dashboard.
We do not sell data, run ads, or use your customers’ information for anything beyond running the features described above.
Fenropay runs on a small set of infrastructure providers, each with their own access limited to what they process:
We don’t share data with anyone else, and none of these providers are permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Your Stripe key is encrypted at rest and decrypted only at the moment a request is made to Stripe. Database access is scoped with row-level security. Every negotiation and applied discount is logged to a transcript you can review — nothing happens silently.
For as long as your account is active. Disconnecting a business stops all future emails and negotiations immediately but keeps its history so reconnecting doesn’t lose anything. If you want your data fully deleted, contact us and we’ll remove it.
You can ask us what we hold on you or your customers, correct it, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us below. Founders are responsible for handling their own end customers’ data-subject requests where applicable — we’ll assist with anything that touches our systems.
We use a small number of functional cookies — one to keep you signed in, one to remember which connected business you’re currently viewing. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
If this changes materially, we’ll update the date above and, for significant changes, email active founders.
